How did we transform Fullbay’s half-a-decade-old Integrations page into a modern, subscription-tiered service?

The Challenge

We faced the task of revitalizing an inconsistent and outdated Integrations page that had to support the needs of over 2000+ shops while being scalable for even more features and 3rd party connections in the near future. This overhaul meant rethinking everything from the ground up.

The Solution

The redesign of the Integrations page into Fullbay Connect introduced a user-friendly page and accomplished both an upgrade in functionality and aesthetics, ultimately improving user satisfaction and helping drive revenue growth.

Navigating the Storm

The journey began with a critical look at what Fullbay Integrations needed to become. The old system, designed for a few hundred users, was now expected to perform for thousands. Each design session was a battle against the limitations of the old architecture.

We encountered resistance not just from the system but within our own departments balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and executive visions was a daily grind. We utilized FigJam not just as a tool but as a battlefield where ideas clashed and better ones emerged victorious.

Collaborative Design Sprint

With the clock ticking down to the project deadline, our design sprints became more intense. Every department had a say, and every meeting was critical. We had to ensure that Fullbay Connect would not only function but thrive. Marketing provided insights on user acquisition, while customer support brought user pain points to the forefront, ensuring our solutions were grounded in real user needs.
